Iqraa is Arabic for “read.” Since 2008, 72 Iqraa runners of diverse nationalities and backgrounds have raced and raised almost $80,000 for education projects in Palestine. Join us as we build on this success!

Why run with Team Iqraa?

Team Iqraa has 10 guaranteed slots in the October 28, 2012 Marine Corps Marathon and numerous slots in the October 15, 2011 Baltimore Running Festival half-marathon. You also can train with Team Iqraa for any other race or distance.

How does Iqraa support Palestine?

In partnership with United Palestinian Appeal (UPA), a 501(C)3 charity organization, Iqraa raises funds for local schools, orphanages, vocational training centers, and universities in an effort to strengthen the Palestinian educational system. As a runner with Team Iqraa, you commit to raise funds for education by obtaining sponsors (such as members of your family, friends, colleagues, and other contacts).
